In July of 2004, URC moved its operations into a new facility located in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, a beautiful town located in the rolling green hills of Northern Ohio about 20 miles east of Cleveland. The new location was necessary to provide additional space needed to accommodate URC’s continued growth.

Our facility is over twice the size of URC’s previous location and provides additional acreage, which will accommodate a sizeable addition as future space requirements become necessary.

The entire facility is climate controlled and manufacturing and warehousing areas have been completely remodeled to provide a well-lit and clean work environment for our employees and to increase workflow efficiency.

Assembly and testing areas are equipped with electrically dissipative surfaces that reduce the possibility of damage to sensitive electronic components and assemblies during the manufacturing process due to electrostatic discharge (ESD). Personnel in ESD sensitive areas also wear special clothing and grounding equipment to limit ESD. An alarm system has been installed to indicate where ESD may pose a risk to sensitive electronics.

AC-PRO and ZERO-Hertz manufacturing facility

The shipping area has also been greatly expanded. URC has made a significant investment in inventory and its facility to meet customer demand. Most of our AC-PRO and ZERO-Hertz circuit breaker retrofit kits can now ship from stock.
