FEATURES:
The HI-SPEED trip unit package is a state of the art, micro-controller based system for the bi-directional overcurrent protection of DC traction power system. The HI-SPEED trip unit is specifically designed as an upgrade to replace the original OEM ABB/ITE HI-SPEED trip unit. The new digital HI-SPEED trip unit is also standard equipment on all new FBK-H DC circuit breakers manfactured by CP, LLC.
The FBK-H circuit breaker has also been used for years by G.E. Drives in Salem, VA. Many General Electric DC drive systems such as the Silcomatic, Silco, Silco I, Silco II, Silco+, Siltrol, Siltrol+, Analog/Hybrid/Digital Siltron, GT200, DC300 and DC2000 Drives incorporated the FBK-H DC circuit breaker.
The system consists of two basic components:
- The HI-SPEED trip unit.
- A bi-directional hall effect transducer (sensor).
- Transducer cable.
Standard features include:
- Bi-directional current sensing with one DC transducer (sensor).
- All settings made directly in amps or seconds.
- Displays last trip data.
- Permisive Relay.
- Momentary alarm relay.
- Rate-of-rise function available
Optional features include:
- Bi-directional rate of rise protection.
- Supervisory trip (remote).
- Lockout relay.
- Indicator lamp relay.
- Remote Display unit
